Arthur Charbonneau (my mother's father bought Long Lake Lodge after he retired from his job as a salesman. It was literally a large log cabin set high above Long Lake. The Lodge offered hunting and fishing to visitor's far and wide. Art Charbonneau sold it after he retired a second time. It eventually burned to the ground. My grandfather with my mom under his armc I spent a good part of my childhood summers here as well as some memorable Christmas's. My parents met here while my Dad tended bar. I hope to get more photo's scanned when I am home next (who knows when?). A view of the lake from the lodge. |
